Our Story – Your local Psychology Practice

Life Story Psychology practice originated from a keen personal experience and awareness of the difficulties individuals face in finding motivation and empowerment in daily life.
After working in a variety of intensive clinical and executive environments, Principal Clinical Psychologist and founder, Gayani, was inspired to direct her skillset more closer to home.
Having grown up in the inner Northern suburbs of Melbourne, Gayani is passionate about the people, environment and culture of the area.
Drawing on motivational techniques, positive psychology, strength based approaches and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Life Story Psychology uses a gentle approach to explore your values, motivation and goals, create awareness and insight, challenge unhelpful thinking and find contentment. Therapeutic intervention is tailored to your needs, focusing on improving mental well-being and quality of life.

Do we fear the shadows we see, or do we find repose in the shade.
Do we feel overwhelmed by the unending rows of boughs, or do we feel exalted by their reach.
Do we follow a path filled with light, or do we feel lost and see no way through?
It is normal to feel in many different ways, sometimes in many ways at once, but it is important to realise that we also have the power to decide how we see.
